Tuesday, February 20, 2024
Wondering why household detergents and cleaning agents seem like a chemical concoction of death. Or simply why they irritate and dry out your skin. Cleaning companies are not thinking about customers health when they sell us our favourite surface cleaners and deodorising sprays. So I figured why don't I make my own! This recipe works just as well as any shop bought products and its all natural.

Multi-Tasking Surface Cleaner

Mix an equal amount of water and vinegar mix.
2 tbsp of bicarbonate soda (more depending on what your cleaning)
Squeeze of half a lemon (Or more depending)

Simple Ol Lemon

Just slice it in half and scrub on taps and fittings, to get rid of even stubborn limescale and grease.

Stubborn Stains Paste

2 tbsp bicarbonate soda
Add water slowly until, you get a paste consistency
Add lemon (optional)
Leave to soak into stains anywhere on anything!
Rinse with ACV (unless its clothes)

    All Natural Properties

Apple Cider Vinegar (or normal vinegar) - The best deodoriser! (it smells a bit strong at the start), makes brighter whites and gets rid of limescale. It's also a deodoriser with amazing antibacterial properties. Best for surfaces anywhere in the house. Its also good for your skin and hair! Win-Win

Bicarbonate of Soda - It's completely natural and is perfect for cleaning clothes and harsh stains everywhere! just leave it to soak. It also has the same cleaning properties as apple cider vinegar.

Lemon - Bright whites, limescale and anti bacterial.

Olive Oil - Amazing on grease. I use this to clean my cooker, for those stubborn cooking stains. You won't believe it, till you've tried it. It works a lot better then, commercial cleaners and works out cheaper if it's already in your cupboard!

This solution is skin friendly and no animals are harmed in the process. So finish up on those commercial products, keep the bottles clean them out, then compare the difference.
