Walthamstow seems to be in the map lately as one of the up and coming hip places to be.
As well as Barking and Dagenham.
With beautifully curated murals, community cafe's and gardens and aesthetically pleasing grass roots shop owners and grand design. Walthamstow is the place to be for health food lovers, vintage lovers, creatives yuppies.
My top recommendations are
the veg hut, second nature, the hornbeam café, wood street market, Walthamstow market, Kensington market new the science museum on Sundays, I've heard there are lovely markets in Chelsea and the Pavilion in Hackney Victoria Park, Kombo Japanese in South Ken and Chapters in Goodmayes Ilford. Also Just Dagenham Heathway high-street and Barking.
Wynwood art district and Hayward gallery are amazing.
chequers, bulher&co and cafe 56!
